Bob Dylan To Receive France's Légion D'Honneur »
Bob Dylan has been nominated for France's Légion d'Honneur, the country's highest distinction. The approval by the Légion d'Honneur council means France's minister of culture may soon decorate Dylan with the honor. Previous performers awarded the honor include Paul McCartney and Charles Aznavour, the French singer, songwriter, actor, public activist and diplomat.

U2 Recording New Album With Coldplay's Chris Martin? »
U2 and Coldplay have been linked to a New York studio, fueling speculations and rumors that Martin will appear on the Irish band's new album. All four members of U2 were seen at the Electric Lady Studios in New York on Friday, where Danger Mouse is reportedly mixing their new album. Soon after they arrived, a reporter for fansite atu2.com turned up at the studio.

Keith Richards says he's in the midst of recording a new solo album despite participating in the Rolling Stones' 50 and Counting tour. Speaking with Mojo magazine, Richards said the album's been in the works for a while. "I've been cutting stuff with Steve Jordan," he said. "For the last couple of years we get together and lay down tracks for a possible album."

It seems that KISS fans have nothing to worry about because the band isn't going anywhere anytime soon, at least not according to Gene Simmons, who said in a recent interview that he sees the band continuing for another decade. "Not today. We're having a great time," Simmons told Expressen TV in Stockholm, Sweden about whether or not the end is near for the band.

Brian May, guitarist for Queen, was at the head of a protest against the passing of the badger cull policy in the U.K. The bill has granted licenses for the purpose of hunting badgers in several regions. May, according to the Independent, also delivered a petition to lawmakers, boasting 234,000 signatures from those who oppose the government's plan of culling.

Laurie Anderson, the wife of Lou Reed, says her husband is convalescing after an emergency liver transplant. She dished to the U.K. paper, the London Times, noting the severity of Reed's condition. "He was dying. You don't get it for fun. You send out two planes - one for the donor, one for the recipient - at the same time."
