Steve Perry, former lead singer for Journey, wrote on his official site that he has undergone two operations in order to beat skin cancer. For now, he said, doctors believe that the operations were successful. "Three weeks ago a routine mole was taken off my face and the lab report came back Melanoma skin cancer," Perry said.

Elton John's Wardrobe Called 'Gay Propaganda' By Russian Protestors »
Elton John, who is set to hit Krasnodar, Russia on July 14 for a show, has been getting some push back from Russian protestors who have called his onstage wardrobe "homosexual propaganda." A rep for the protestors, Mikhail Abramyan, speaking with RIA Novosti, says that he wants Elton to trade his typical glam duds for the traditional Cossack uniform of a "knee-length caftan."

Tom Petty's Saturday night show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles was shut down by fire marshals. The gig, part of a six-show residency at the 1,300 seat venue drew a sell-out crowd, which fire marshals attempted to thin out by not letting patrons return who had left to get drinks or go to the bathroom.

An isolated vocal track of David Bowie and the late Queen singer Freddie Mercury from their collab "Under Pressure" has seen the light of day and made its way online. The vocal track was first unearthed by Eric Alper and released to coincide with the 31st anniversary of the Queen album Hot Space on which "Under Pressure" appears.

AC/DC's Brian Johnson To Join Sting On New Last Ship Album »
Brian Johnson, lead singer of AC/DC, will add his talents to Sting's upcoming album, The Last Ship - the first album of original material in ten years from the former Police fronter. The news was released via Johnson's publicist, who did not, however, add details on the extent or nature of Johnson's role.
