    A distributor says that Sony and Apple have conspired to block a documentary with public domain footage of the Beatles' first concert in the U.S. The gig, from February 11, 1964, went down at the Coliseum in Washington, D.C. Ace Arts claims in a federal antitrust complaint that Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Apple interfered with the release of The Beatles: The Lost Concert.

    Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has revealed that he is suffering from cancer. Campbell explained that he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and that he's hopeful of making a full recovery. "Hodgkin's has an over 80% cure rate," the 50-year-old said in a Facebook post, "so by my reckoning, if you're going to have a cancer, Hodgie's is the one to have!"

    Elvis Costello teamed up with Mumford & Sons to record a cover version of "The Ghost of Tom Joad," a track written for the 1995 album of the same name by Bruce Springsteen. The song was recorded for charity organization Agit8, which has called for an end poverty in conjunction with Bono's One Campaign in advance of next week's G8 Summit in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
