Aerosmith Resumes Tour After Joey Kramer's Illness

After canceling a show in California, Aerosmith resumed their Let Rock Rule tour on August 15 at the Gorge Amphitheater in Gorge, WA. The Cali gig was shelved after an undisclosed illness felled drummer Joey Kramer. In a presser, A Smitty said that Joey underwent a "minor medical procedure" and is ready to rock.

The home in which Johnny Cash grew up in Dyess, Arkansas has been fully renovated and ready to welcome visitors. Dyess, a small town of 400 residents, now hosts the home, a museum and a theater. The Cash home, built in 1935, was restored to its appearance when the Cash family lived there (1935-1954). It was furnished based on recollections from family members.

The late Joe Strummer of the Clash has had his 1963 Ford Thunderbird put up for auction on eBay. The ongoing auction, courtesy of the Beverly Hills Car Club, is over on August 21. According to the BHCC, the car was originally "purchased by Strummer in 1987 for $4,200, the vehicle has remained in pristine condition, having spent several years in a climate controlled garage."
