Elton John Asks Lady Gaga To Be Godmother For Second Child »
Elton John and his partner David Furnish asked Lady Gaga to be the godmother to their newly adopted son, Elijah-the Mother Monster is also the godmother to John's first son, Zachary. In an interview with Extra, Elton says that Gaga is the ideal godmother to his and Furnish's sons: "She's a great role model, she's young, she's been a great godmother to Zachary, she came to bathe him in Las Vegas."

New Novel Based On Beatles' Early Days »
Writer and musician Greg Kihn is releasing a new novel that centers around the Beatles in the 1960s. The book, titled Rubber Soul, is set for release on September 3 and tells the story of the Fab Four's early discovery of records that would inspire some of their greatest hits. In a press release, Kihn's publishers call the novel a "100 percent action-packed ride . . ."

Queen To Release Expanded Live At The Bowl »
Queen will release Queen on Fire - Live at the Bowl, an expanded edition of the band's Live at the Bowl album, distributor Eagle Rock has confirmed. The new two DVD set, due out May 21, includes interview footage, photos, and select performances from other shows on their 1982 concert schedule, which adds up to over three hours of material.

Jon Bon Jovi's son, Jesse Bongiovi, says he plans to try out for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team as a walk-on next fall. Bongiovi is currently a senior at the elite Poly Prep school in Brooklyn, New York, where he has been a standout in both football and lacrosse. Bongiovi was not offered a scholarship with the Irish.

Bruce Springsteen has been elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, joining actor Robert De Niro, actress Sally Field and folk legend Pete Seeger as new members of the academy. "Election to the Academy honors individual accomplishment and calls upon members to serve the public good," said Academy President Leslie C. Berlowitz.
