Eagles Expand 2013 North American Tour »
The Eagles have announced a slew of new tour dates, expanding their current summer tour all the way through October. The North American leg of the band's "History of the Eagles" tour, in support of the recently released documentary film of the same name, begins July 6th in Louisville, Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center and wraps July 25th in Bethel, NY at Bethel Woods Center.

Jefferson Airplane drummer Joey Covington was killed in a car accident on Wednesday at the age of 67. According to Rolling Stone, Covington was driving in Palm Springs, California when he hit a wall on the side of the road. Local news sources report that Covington was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.

The Doobie Brothers are stepping in to replace the ailing Aretha Franklin as a headlining act at this year's Ottawa Jazz Festival. The Doobies are in the middle of an extensive United States tour, but a June 26 Ottawa stop at the Jazz Festival fits perfectly in the band's six-day gap between gigs.

Yes has announced the first-ever Yestival, a "day-into-night musical adventure in full quadraphonic sound," set to take place August 3 at Camden, New Jersey's Susquehanna Bank Center. Yes will serve as the headlining act for the event, performing both the Close to the Edge and The Yes Album albums in full.

Elton John Rumored To Be Played By Tom Hardy »
Tom Hardy, who recently took a turn as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, may be cast as Elton John in the upcoming Rocketman biopic. The actor is already serving as an executive producer on the film. The film's producers, however, have denied Hardy has been cast as Elton. According to Hitfix, the film is "a biographical musical fantasy . . ."
