Today I have chosen to set myself free of the unrealistic expectations he has of me. I have the right to have an honest marriage. I have the right to feel safe and secure in my relationships. I have the right to privacy. I have the right to trust. I have the right to not feel guilty. I have the right to raise children who are happy, feel secure and excited about life. I have the right to pursue my hobbies and interests. I have the right to have friends. I have the right to be happy. I have the right to peace. I have the right to be optimistic. I have the right to have dreams. I have the right to attempt accomplishing those dreams. I have a right to pursue higher education. Sacrificing myself has not turned out to be as noble as I thought it would be. So, today I set out to recapture the joy that once resonated in my life, the friendships I once cherished, the dreams that motivated me to grow as a person, and the belief that anything is possible. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE ME!!!
