Joshua and Kennessa Malan are pleased to announce their Sealing in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 7, 2009. An Open House will be held in their honor from 5-7 p.m. at the LDS Church, 2790 N. Center Street in Lehi. All friends are invited to attend.
Joshua is the son of Garth Malan and Sandra Wilcox. He was also raised by his loving grandparents, Bob and Betty Wilcox of Huntsville, UT. Joshua graduated from Weber High in 1994 while also attending Weber State University. He attended various schools related to his industry and was largely self-taught. He owned his own company and ran it successfully for 9 years, was a CTO, Director of IT and was a DJ for 10 years. Joshua is currently employed at O’Currance Teleservices as their Senior Developer. Joshua has a beautiful 6 yr. old daughter, Hali, from his first marriage. He was made an Elder in July 2008.
Kennessa (Powell) Malan is the daughter of Reed and Kim Powell of Lehi, UT. Kennessa graduated from Lehi High School in 2000, where she was a member of the Encore Show Choir, Music Sterling Scholar, and was on the High Honor Roll. She graduated from Snow College in 2002 where she toured Europe with the orchestra, attended UVSC in 2003, and graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii in 2005 with her BA in Vocal Studies. She toured Japan and Korea with BYU-Hawaii Concert Choir in 2004. She has been a Private Vocal Coach in Lehi and American Fork since August 2005.
The couple eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada March 3, 2008. They have made their first home in American Fork, UT.
