To kick-off the fall/ Halloween season, ”The Mine” is a new PG-13 scary movie for teenagers and young adults that will open September 14 at select theaters in the Salt Lake City area.  And amazingly, many parents may be encouraging their children to go see it. "The Mine” was filmed in Utah in several actual abandoned mines.  It stars actors from both Utah and Los Angeles and features Alexa Vega of  “Spy Kids”.   It’s a movie that balances humor with “Terror without Trauma” – a healthy alternative in scary entertainment.
