Cars Hint At Possible Reunion

The surviving members of the Cars have hinted at a possible reunion by posting a photo on Facebook of the bandmembers back in the studio. All surviving members - Ric Ocasek, Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes and David Robinson - are present and shown together in the studio.

There has been no official announcement of a reunion but the band did include a caption with the photo that reads, "Anyone in the mood for a reunion by the Cars?"

When questioned about the possibility by the Boston Globe last week, Hawkes said, "I hate to be vague, but I really can't say. It's a crazy world."

The Cars broke up in 1988. This was followed by the death of original bandmember Benjamin Orr, who died in 2000 of pancreatic cancer. In 2005, Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes joined with Todd Rundgren, Prairie Prince and Kasim Sulton to form the New Cars.
