Joe Walsh Talk About Getting Clean And New Album
Joe Walsh has opened up about the 20-year span between the release of his last solo album and his new effort Analog Man.
Speaking with Classic Rock Revisited, Walsh said that much of time was spent adjusting to his newfound sobriety:
"I had to reinvent and start from scratch and learn to do everything sober - that took a lot of time," he said. "It opened up a whole life and a way of looking at things. I was able to get healthy again and I wanted to go check that out and see what it was all about."
According to Walsh, the album's title track is a hat tip to the last solo album he made, which was recorded before the advent of digital recording.
"The last album I made was on recording tape and there were knobs; now there is a mouse," he said. "Those of us who were analog guys had to make some adjustments with this new technology."
