Long Lost Beatles Photos Surface
A set of Beatles photos, taken by a schoolboy, Andy Wright, nearly 50 years ago, have been rediscovered after a long stay in his attic.
Wright, speaking with the Croydon Guardian, says that he had limited opportunities to get quality shots:
"I only had 12 pictures on my roll of film. The picture of all four of them backstage, potentially the most financially lucrative, was taken with the last shot I had."
"I went home on the bus, developed the pictures and proudly took them into the school the next day. I still have the Rollei camera I took those pictures with," he added.
The Fab Four were caught on the roll on April 25, 1963, as they were preparing to play two gigs in Croyden. The pictures were taken about a month before the release of their debut LP, Please Please Me.
