Keith Richards Role Added To Jimi Hendrix Biopic

Ashley Charles, an up-and-coming British actor, will play Keith Richards in All Is By My Side, the upcoming Jimi Hendrix biopic.

Hendrix is played by Andre 3000, and Hayley Atwell has been cast as Linda Keith, Richards' girlfriend who discovers Hendrix playing in a New York nightclub.

In Richards' 2010 autobiography, Life, he writes Linda would eventually trade him for Hendrix:

"She went to New York and took up further with Jimi Hendrix, who may have broken her heart, as she broke mine."

All By My Side, from director John Ridley, is currently shooting in Dublin, Ireland. The entire film is expected to be shot in six weeks.

It primarily focuses on the time Hendrix spent in England from 1966 and 1967 crafting his debut album, Are You Experienced?
