Seasick Steve has been confirmed as the headliner for the Strummer of Love Festival at a secret location in Somerset. The fest, which takes place from August 17-19, marks the 10th anniversary of Clash frontman Joe Strummer's death.
Seasick Steve, who released his fifth studio album You Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks in May 2011, will headline the festival's opening night.
Frank Turner, the Pogues, Badly Drawn Boy, Alabama 3, Roots Manuva, Billy Bragg, KT Tunstall, Emmy the Great, Reverend and the Makers and Slow Club have also been confirmed. More acts are expected to be announced soon.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit the work of the charity Strummerville: The Joe Strummer New Music Foundation, which was set up in the singer's memory by his friends and family.
