Rolling Stones Update Logo For 50th Anniversary

The Rolling Stones have updated their famous lips and tongue logo in commemoration of their 50 year anniversary. The new logo features the familiar mouth with the number 50 woven into the Stones' name. It was designed by Shepard Fairey.

The original logo, which debuted on the inner sleeve of Sticky Fingers, was designed by John Pasche. It was made to resemble the "intense and rebellious mouth of Mick Jagger," according to LogoDesignLove.com.

"To commemorate their 50th anniversary the Rolling Stones commissioned Shepard Fairey to update their classic Tongue and Lips logo, originally designed by John Pasche in 1971," a statement at RollingStones.com states.

Keith Richards has confirmed that he, Ron Wood, Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts will get together next month in London to plan what may be the band's 50th anniversary concert celebration.
