Ronnie Wood Receives Awards From Radio Industry

Ronnie Wood was honored with multiple awards by the radio industry for the second year in a row.

The Rolling Stones guitarist received accolades in two categories at the annual Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards. Wood won the Specialist Programme of the Year award for his Absolute Radio show, while seeing his weekly guest slot named Best Feature.

"The standard of entries this year was particularly high, demonstrating once again, that commercial radio remains in rude health," said RadioCentre's Andrew Harrison.

Other winners on the night included Real Radio's Breakfast with Ewen & Cat, and LBC's Emma Barnett, who took home the award for newcomer of the year.

Recording artist Adele was also recognized, as she received the PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited) award for most played U.K. artist.
