Ringo Starr Celebrates His 72nd Birthday With 'Peace And Love' Demonstration
Ringo Starr celebrated his 72nd birthday last week by holding a special "Peace and Love" demonstration in Nashville, Tennessee on July 7. The Beatles legend and several hundred fans gathered outside the Hard Rock Café in Nashville and held peace symbols in the air while chanting "peace and love."
Ringo also asked fans all over the world to toast his birthday by doing the same thing at 12:00 p.m. in their local time zones:
"Wherever you are -- on a bus, in the office, in the studio, hanging out . . . whatever you're doing, at noon, just go, 'Peace and love.' That's all I ask for my birthday. Peace and love," he asked of fans in an official state.
Ringo also made recent headlines by revealing that neither of his sons are likely to form a band with the sons of the other Beatles as previously rumored.
