Whitesnake To Release Live CD And DVD

Whitesnake are taking a break from the road in order to hit the studio to mix a number of live recordings culled from their 2011 world tour. The ultimate plan is to release a new live concert DVD.

"We are busily mixing and editing a live album and a separate in-concert DVD from the Forevermore world tour, plus mixing special expanded editions of Into The Light and Restless Heart," frontman David Coverdale said in a posting on the band's website.

"Plus archiving so much audio and visual material and content from so many years," he added.

Coverdale added that the band is not working on a new studio album:

"But [we're] definitely not [working on] a whole new studio album at this time. Quite simply we wouldn't have time to write and record a new studio album. It was never on our agenda for 2012."
