Ronnie James Dio Box Set And Tribute Album Coming Soon

A new Ronnie James Dio box set, Dio: the Singles Collection, which collects the band's classic singles on Vertigo/Universal in replicas of the original release, along with a DVD featuring all of the corresponding promo videos, is due August 31.

The 14 CDs include 48 songs and 14 previous singles, while the DVD has 12 music videos. The package comes with a reprint of a U.K. tour poster and a 32-page complete discography of the Vertigo years.

Next year, a Deep Purple tribute will be released celebrating Dio's legacy. The comp already has an impressive line-up including tracks from Metallica, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Dave Grohl, Ian Gillan and Lemmy Kilmister.
