AC/DC Track Added To Australia's National Film & Sound Archive
Australia's National Registry Of Recorded Sound has chosen AC/DC's "It's A Long Way to the Top (If You Want To Rock and Roll)" as one of ten inductees this year. The track was one of 250,000 voted on by Aussie citizens and eventually selected by a panel of ten experts.
The yearly vote is hosted by the National Film & Sound Archive, and the track becomes one of only 64 sound recordings added to the registry since it was founded in 2007. "It's A Long Way to the Top (If You Want To Rock And Roll)" was released by AC/DC in 1975 as part of the classic album T.N.T.
In other news, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has been given his own BBC Radio 2 show, Brian Johnson's Rockers and Rollers. Johnson admits that putting the show together has been tough:
"Everyone thinks doing radio is just sitting down, you put a mic in front of you and just waffle, but it's not that easy," Johnson said to the BBC.
