KISS And Motley Crue Concert Postponed After Pyrotechnics Truck Flips

KISS and Motley Crue postponed a show (September 5) at Detroit's DTE Energy Music Theater after the semi-truck carrying the bands' pyrotechnic equipment flipped. The roof of the trailer was torn off, and its contents subsequently forced their way out. The concert was rescheduled for the following night.

"We owe you the show you expect and deserve, so we've jointly decided to give our crews the 24 hours necessary to piece everything together to make it possible," read a statement from the bands.

An officer of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, speaking with the Detroit Free Press, said the driver lost control of the truck while reaching for his water bottle.

The driver, Charles Lamb, was cited for failure to control a vehicle and was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
