Beatles To Release 50th Anniversary Single Of 'Love Me Do'

The Beatles announced that on Friday, October 5 they will be releasing a limited-edition 45 rpm of their first single "Love Me Do," for the 50th anniversary of the song's release.

"P.S. I Love You" will appear on the B-side of the album and it is designed to be a replica of the original. "Love Me Do" is one out of the first three songs that the Beatles recorded at their first recording session in 1962.

The song reached number 17 on the British charts, and featured drummer Ringo Starr who had just previously replaced Pete Best.

People can pre-order the single off the Beatles website for $12.99.
