Black Sabbath Announce Release Date For Reunion Album

Black Sabbath have announced that their yet-to-be-titled new album will be released in April 2013. The group also unveiled four Australian tour dates.

Those dates begin April 25 at Brisbane's Entertainment Center, continue April 27 at Sydney's Allphones Arena, and pick up again for two May dates: May 1 at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and May 4 at Perth's Perth Arena. Ticks go on sale November 8.

In the meantime, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler are working on their first new album since 1978's Never Say Die. Rick Rubin is handling production duties.

The band has made no announcement on who is playing drums on the album or on the upcoming tour. Original drummer Bill Ward has been holding out due to a contract dispute.
