Rush To Release Super Deluxe Edition Of 2112 Album

Rush is prepping the re-release of 2112, the band's landmark album, which initially hit in 1976. The reissue comes in three distinct sets. Those sets are a CD/Audio DVD set, a CD/Audio Blu-Ray set, and a CD/Audio Blu-Ray Super Deluxe Edition.

The Super Deluxe version, about which details have not been released, should retail for $50-60, "which implies that it'll have more goodies besides just the album and Audio Blu-Ray," according to Rock Cellar magazine.

According, Rush sound engineer Rich Chycki has confirmed the 5.1 surround sound remix of 2112. The sets, available for pre-order now via Amazon, are due December 18.

Drummer Neil Peart wrote the story behind 2112, a song that finds a man facing off against the Priests of the Temples of Syrinx.
