Rod Stewart has signed on for an appearance at this year's annual NBC holiday spesh "Christmas in Rockefeller Center." The event marks the lighting of the tree in New York City's Rockefeller Center; it airs on November 28 at 9 p.m.
This year's tree is an 80-foot Norway Spruce hailing from a town in New Jersey that was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. It has already been installed at the site and is currently being decorated with 30,000 colored lights for the holiday season.
Rod joins an all-star crew of performers set to take the stage at the event including Trace Adkins, CeeLo Green, Victoria Justice, Chris Mann, Mariah Carey and Il Volo.
Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie will host the event, which also boasts appearances by Billy Crystal and Bette Midler.
