Vivian Campbell, guitarist for Def Leppard, has filed for divorce from his wife of 25 years, Julie. According to TMZ, the pair filed documents with the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
They have two daughters, ages 3 and 11, which Vivian has asked for joint custody of; he has also requested that she be denied any spousal support. The pair married in 1987.
Campbell joined Leppard in 1992 after the death of Steve Clark. Before that, he worked on Dio's first albums, and has recently announced his return to the Dio lineup, which is now missing its former frontman in the late Ronnie James Dio.
"No one deserves to be onstage playing those songs from a guitar player point of view more than me. I wrote those riffs. I'm going to take them back," Campbell said of his decision to re-up with the band.
