Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell says that he is "going out of [his] way to be as generous and accommodating as possible" to his soon-to-be ex-spouse, despite reports that he was shirking his financial duties toward his wife of 25 years.
TMZ.com published a report on November 18 citing papers filed in Los Angeles Superior County Court that claimed "irreconcilable differences" existed between the couple. Furthermore, Vivian wanted joint custody of their 13 and 11-year-old daughters with Julie Campbell, and, according to TMZ.com, he requested the court deny his wife any spousal support.
Campbell decided to shoot down the rumor by taking to his Facebook page. He wrote, "It amazes me what people take for truth. If something is in print, does that automatically make it true?" Campbell says the spousal support charge by TMZ "couldn't be further from the truth."
The guitarist did also confirm that he is in a new relationship with a former member of Def Leppard's crew, who is now touring with Steel Panther. He wrote, "For the past 4 weeks the woman I love has been working in Europe with another band with a big cat name. I've missed her so much."
