Gus G., guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, is planning a solo album. The axeman revealed the news in an interview with Rock Overdose, saying that he has been "collecting ideas and writing demos" for a while now.
He plans to have guest singers on some songs, while other songs will be instrumental only. The album is due to be released some time in 2013.
In the meantime, Oz is set to kick off the inaugural Ozzfest Japan event, which will feature a performance from Black Sabbath:
"We've got the perfect combination of Western and Japanese bands. Ozzfest is also thrilled to be presenting Black Sabbath's first-ever performance in Japan," said Sharon Osbourne of the event.
Tool, the Deftones and Slash have also signed on to appear at the fest.
