Bon Jovi To Hold Free Gulf Coast Show In Alabama

Bon Jovi will perform a free shore concert in the city of Gulf Shores, Alabama in an effort to breathe life back into the city's tourism industry. The show will take place on October 15 and is part of the Concerts for the Coast series.

Tickets for the show will be distributed on a first come, first served basis through the event's official Web site starting September 11. Area residents can also pick up tickets at Erie Meyer Civic Center in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach Recreation Center and Foley City Hall.

The show follows a similar free gig in Gulf Shores given by "Margaritaville" singer Jimmy Buffett in July. This traditional summer destination has been hit hard by the recent BP oil spill and has since received $15 million from the company specifically intended to help bolster tourism.

Country star Brad Paisley will also perform as part of the concert series on October 17.
