The Allman Brothers Band have announced that they will continue their annual residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The stand, which effectively kicks off the band's touring year, will take place on Friday, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights March 1-16.
"The Beacon run is always magical," Gregg Allman says. "The room sounds great, lots of familiar faces and the band really stretches out. After Macon, New York is really our second home. There's just something about it, and our fans know it."
The Allman Brothers have sold out the Beacon 210 times since 1989, according to a press release issued by the band on Wednesday. Fans attending the show can surely expect some guests to take the stage alongside the legendary outfit. In the past this has meant appearances by Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Johnny Winter, Kid Rock, Buddy Guy and more.
