Peter Frampton has opened up about his revived career and says much of the credit is due to his old pal David Bowie. Frampton said that his career had cooled off considerably in the 80s until Bowie gave him a boost back into the public eye.
"The 80s were a difficult period for me," Frampton said. "[That continued] until my dear friend David Bowie got me out on the road for the Glass Spider tour and on his Never Let Me Down record, and reintroduced me as a guitar player around the world."
"I enjoyed touring with David so much I just wanted to go back out and play, because I hadn't really played out that much in the 80s," he added.
Frampton will hit the road this year with a host of special guests including B.B. King.
