The legal battle between Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and his former manager, Allen Kovac, has expanded to include Motley Crue. Kovac has accused one of his firm's former attorneys, Dina LaPolt, of stealing his clients, one of whom is Tyler.
Now, Kovac says that LaPolt also tried to nab Crue, a band he managed for 15 years. However, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee have joined Tyler in publicly dissing Kovac.
On Monday (January 7) Mars and Lee's statements were filed along with new court papers by LaPolt asking a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to strike Kovac's complaint based on California's anti-SLAPP statute, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
LaPolt insists that she never worked for Kovac, a claim which, if true, would render Kovac's argument null.
