Aladdin Sane, the 1973 album from David Bowie, will be reissued in a special remastered 40th anniversary edition on April 15. The LP, Bowie's sixth studio effort, was the follow-up to 1972's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, which got its own re-issuance last year.
Remastering duties will be handled by Ray Staff of London's Air Studios, who also mastered the original album and retouched Ziggy Stardust for last year's re-release.
However, unlike the Ziggy re-issue, the Aladdin re-issue will not feature any exclusive extras or an accompanying DVD. Neither will the album be available on vinyl, but only to CD and iTunes.
The album was originally co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott and recorded at Trident Studios in London and RCA Studios in New York.
