Queen Hot Space Original Artwork Sells For Big Bucks

The original artworks for Hot Space, the tenth album from Queen, which feature the stylized visages of lead singer Freddie Mercury and the rest of the band members over plain backgrounds, have sold on eBay for $1,750.

The set of original pieces went for $437.50 apiece, and one buyer purchased the complete set for the above-mentioned price.

In other Queen news, Brian May recently confirmed that the band's 1986 concert set, Live at Wembley Stadium, will be released as a two-DVD set and digital download on March 12.

"The Wembley concerts in 1986 were the pinnacle for us," said May of the bill.

"We were at our height band-wise, and Freddie had developed this phenomenal way of dealing with stadium audiences. Being back home in London playing two sellout nights was such a big, big occasion for us. None of us realized that this would be almost the last time we played together."
