David Bowie Releases New Music Video For 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)'

David Bowie has released the music video for "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)," the second single from his forthcoming comeback album, The Next Day.

The vid, directed by Floria Sigismondi, features Bowie alongside actress Tilda Swinton. Classic Rock magazine notes that the visuals include "an unprovoked attack with a Morphy Richards electric carving knife."

The National Post, meanwhile, called the video "a somewhat cautionary, somewhat nostalgic, totally off-the-wall tale of celebrity idolatry, that paints Swinton and Bowie as a bland suburban couple seemingly haunted by celebrity counterparts."

The track follows the lead single, "Where Are We Now," released on January 8, a date that marked the rocker's 66th birthday.

The Next Day, produced by longtime collaborator Tony Visconti, is Bowie's first record of new music in more than a decade. It's due on March 12.
