The Brighton Institute of Modern Music has announced that legendary Who vocalist Roger Daltrey will be their "first ever patron."
The Institute provides a unique opportunity for aspiring musicians, said Daltrey, something he's happy to help promote:
"BIMM is a fantastic platform for talented young musicians who are given the opportunity to thrive and grow within the music industry. I am very happy to support new music in the U.K. and BIMM is helping to develop and nurture future talent organically and successfully."
Further honoring Daltrey, BIMM will hold a party and screening of the film version of the Who's 1973 rock opera, Quadrophenia.
The band will begin the live touring version of the opera on June 8 in Dublin, Ireland.
