Rod Stewart's first album of new material in almost 20 years, Time, will be released on May 7.
The LP include the singles "She Makes Me Happy" (out today) and "Finest Woman" (out April 8) among its singles. Stewart produced eleven of the album's twelve tracks, and three additional songs will be available with album pre-orders on iTunes, including the Stewart-penned "Legless."
Rod, who previously acknowledged that he has struggled to write songs over the last twenty years, explained that working on his recent autobiography renewed his songwriting spark:
"Something about that process of reviewing my life for the book reconnected me. I was getting up in the middle of the night and scrambling for a pen to write things down, which has never happened to me."
Stewart kicks off a European tour in June.
