Bowie Exhibit Is Fastest Selling Ever

David Bowie's upcoming exhibit at the Victoria & Albert Museum is the fastest-selling event to date at the museum. A spokesperson for the V&A told Sky News that: "We have sold over 47,000 tickets for the exhibition. It is the most pre-sale tickets that we have ever recorded for an exhibition."

The installation is set to open this weekend and will feature 300 Bowie related artifacts, including photographs, film, set designs, handwritten lyrics and 60 stage costumes.

Other notable pieces include the original Ziggy Stardust bodysuits, Kansai Yamamoto's Aladdin Sane tour outfits, and a Union Jack coat designed by Alexander McQueen and worn by Bowie for the cover of 1997's Earthling album.

The launch of the exhibit comes just as Bowie has released a new album, The Next Day. The exhibition runs until August.
