Rolling Stones Decide On Promoter For Arena Tour

The Rolling Stones have chosen AEG as the promoter for their upcoming slate of North American tour dates, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

The concert giant made what one source calls "a real crazy offer" to outbid a coalition of promoters including Australia's Paul Dainty and other independent companies in U.S. cities. The Stones will receive between $4 million and $5 million per show.

The band was reportedly planning to go with Dainty's group until earlier this week, when a lawyer for the Stones called AEG executives and granted the contract to them. AEG tentatively plans to announce the tour in early April. Sources for the Los Angeles promoter declined to comment.

The North American arena tour will include 18 cities.
