Kinks Inducted Into The Ultimate Classic Rock Hall Of Fame

The Kinks are the first band to make it into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame. The site hosted a fan-voted bracket tournament which the group progressed through beating such venerable acts as the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

In the final match-up the Kinks beat out the Fab Four by the slimmest of margins, capturing 50.24% of the fan vote to the Beatles' 49.76%.

Every month, the site hosts a tourney which pits eight rock artists against each other with the winner getting inducted into its Hall of Fame.

Other acts entered into the tournament so far include David Bowie, the Doors, Cream, the Byrds, the Who, the Guess Who, Bob Dylan and Buffalo Springfield.
