David Bowie is a potential candidate to make Time magazine's annual "Time 100" issue, which showcases "the most influential people in the world."
This year the magazine is letting the fans vote for who they think should make the issue. Aside from Bowie, the music industry is represented by Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, PSY and Sharon Jones.
Describing why Bowie is notable, Time refers to him as an "ageless pop god."
Other celebrities who have a shot at making the list include Pope Francis, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Ben Affleck, LeBron James, Serena Williams, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Kimmel, George Lucas, Quentin Tarantino, Jon Hamm and Paula Deen, among others.
Voting runs through April 12, and the top 100 will be announced on April 18.
