The late Pete Ham, singer for Badfinger, will be honored in his Welsh hometown of Swansea with a blue plaque to be put near the entrance of the local railway station. Badfinger is believed to have played its first gig near the plaque's future home.
The memorial will be unveiled by Ham's daughter Petera, who told the BBC that it will be a fitting monument to her father's memory.
"I miss my father every day and I know that he will be there at the event looking down on family and friends, as they sit in his beautiful Swansea and listen to his music and honour his memory," she said.
Britain's Blue Plaques are issued by the English Heritage to honor locations where either a famous person used to live or a location of a famous event.
