Slash will play at the MusiCares MAP Fund benefit, honoring Chester Bennington of Linkin Park in Los Angeles on May 30. Bennington is getting the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his work with the fund.
Bennington has long been a supporter of the Musicares MAP Fund, which provides support to musicians suffering from addiction in the form of rehab access, related expenses and medical bills.
"Musicares MAP Fund is an amazing program that takes care of their own, and actually saves lives," Bennington said in an official statement.
The previous winner of the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award was Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains. Currently, it has not been announced what songs Slash'll play or how long his performance will go. He did, however, recently tweet that he and the Conspirators are back in the studio.
