Iggy Pop has teased the upcoming Iggy and the Stooges album in a joke video about "record label problems."
The funny vid opens with Pop sitting by a swimming pool on his phone complaining that he has "no artistic freedom," and that he feels like he is "losing touch with the common man" before saying that he's going to quit his major label.
The video then switches to Pop in a park picking up litter, saying he's "got to get off this indie label," before a banner that says the new album will be released on Fat Possum Records April 30 is displayed.
The album, Ready to Die, is their fifth studio effort, and was produced by the band's guitar player James Williamson, marking the first album Williamson has played on since 1973's Raw Power.
