Rush took home Rock Album of the Year at the Juno Awards for their latest, Clockwork Angels. It's the Canadian trio's ninth Juno Award since receiving their first in 1975 for Most Promising Group.
Rush was also up for Group of the Year at the recent ceremony, which is the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys, but lost out to Marianas Trench.
2013 has been a banner year for the Canadian prog rock band, as they finally got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The band was originally eligible in 1999, and, after years of intense lobbying by the band's fanatical following, the HOF finally granted the band entrance. Upon receiving the award, drummer Neil Peart admitted, "We've been saying for a long time that this wasn't a big deal. Turns out . . . it kinda is!"
