Tommy Lee Retires Rollercoaster Drum Set

Tommy Lee has retired his trademark roller coaster drum set. The rotating drum set saw its final concert in Atlantic City on Saturday at the Trump Taj Mahal.

On the night of the show, the Motley Crue drummer tweeted, "Tonight the 360 drum rollercoaster will roll it's final time! ?#upsidedownlife ?#historybooks."

"A bottle of Champagne smashed on the coaster last night as it sets sail for the scrap yard!" Lee added on Twitter Saturday night after the show. "Man we've given so many people the thrill of a lifetime together! This ones for the history books kids! We did it! On to design the next Spectacular!"

On the current tour Tommy has played his 8-minute EDM-inspired drum solo from inside the rollercoaster night after night.

While the Taj Mahal show was the Crue's last concert on their current tour, the group will perform two festival shows in Minnesota and Wisconsin in July and then head down to Las Vegas for a residency at the Hard Rock Hotel.
