Dave Davies, guitar player for the Kinks, has released "Little Green Amp," the lead single from his upcoming solo album, I Will Be Me. The track's name is a tribute to the amplifier that Davies famously slashed to get the signature distortion on the Kinks' most recognizable hits.
The music video for the song features a montage of clips taken in London with Davies popping up here and there. The track itself was recorded with Anti-Flag, who are just one of several guests featured on the new LP.
Davies' first record since 2007's Fractured Mindz and his second since suffering a stroke in 2006, also features guest spots from the Jayhawks, Oli Brown, Chris Spedding, Dead Meadow, the Art and Geri X.
I Will Be Me is due June 4. The album's support tour launched in New York City May 27 and wraps on June 11 in Del Mar, California.
