Sammy Hagar was presented with an honorary street sign in his hometown of Fontana, California over the weekend. The singer also served as the Honorary Grand Marshal of the 2013 Fontana Days Parade.
"It's an honor," said Hagar about his return to Fontana, according to BlabberMouth. "Something about your hometown never leaves you."
"Something about in your hometown having a street named after you, that warms my heart. This is awesome. This is one of the favorite things that has been done for me in my whole career," he added to the crowd at the event.
When asked by the Fontana Herald which was the greater honor-induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or a street named after him in Fontana-Hagar said the greater honor was afforded to him by his hometown.
