Debbie Harry is denying rumors that Blondie are calling it quits. She took to Twitter to shut down the chatter, saying that the group is on hiatus but have no plans to formally disband.
The initially speculation grew following an interview with the band's drummer Clem Burke.
Speaking with the U.K.'s Daily Mail Burke said that Debbie's advancing years could play a part in the decision:
"Debbie is 11 years older than the rest of us, so it's on her mind . . . We've tried to keep it going for as long as possible, but it's not just up to me . . . Obviously there's no Blondie without Debbie Harry."
The band does, however, already have tour dates booked for this fall and an album planned for release this year.
Harry was quick to hit Twitter in response to the speculation:
"No plans to stop working, don't believe everything you read."
