Natives of Redditch, Worcestershire have begun a campaign to erect a statue to one of its most famous residents, the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham.
Bonham's sister, Deborah, speaking with the Redditch Standard, said she's thrilled with the news.
"I'm absolutely thrilled about it," she said. "John was unassuming, so he'd probably be a bit shy about it - but I know he'd be very proud."
"I wish it had happened when my dad, mum and brother Michael were alive. To see it up there will be very emotional. It's just wonderful to know he means that much, and his music brought that much joy to so many people," she added.
The John Bonham Memorial Fund has been begun to raise money for the statue. Its proponents hope to have the memorial erected somewhere in the town square.
